Vola.ro, liderul pietei online de travel din Romania, a anuntat rezultatele pentru 2017. Compania a inregistrat o crestere de 24% la nivelul anului 2017, avand tranzactii de peste 60 milioane euro.

Vola.ro, one of the biggest online tourism agency in Romania, posted an year-on-year increase by 24 percent in 2017, reaching a transactions volume of EUR 60.7 million and a turnover of EUR 6.5 million, an year-on-year increase by 13 percent.

“The fact that Vola.ro had two-digit increase each year since it was set up means that we are useful for our clients and our efforts to offer different destinations, good prices, as well as  fast and qualitative support, were appreciated. We didn’t burned stages, we grew systematically, so that last year a Mercury360 study showed that Vola.ro is the most trustworthy online tourism agency. It’s the best confirmation of our work in the last 10 years,” said Daniel Truica, CEO and one of Vola.ro founders.

The flight tickets are the best sold touristic products in online field. In 2017 the volume of sales for flight tickets on Vola.ro increased year-on-year by approximately 19 percent. The average price per ticket was EUR 134; the most expensive ticket was EUR 7,400 for a flight Tokyo-Bucharest-Tokyo. The cheapest was EUR 2.98 for Milan-Bucharest flight. The biggest booking was for a group of 48 persons with departure from Budapest  and destination Tokyo, amounting to EUR 25,000.

Most of the tourists who travelled by plane chose the tickets of Wizz Air, Tarom, Blue Air, Ryanair, Lufthansa group or AIR FRANCE KLM. The destinations preferred by Romania in 2017 were Italy, UK, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland, Portugal.

In 2017 Romanian paid in average EUR 530/person for a holiday and EUR 212/person for a city break. The most expensive holiday was EUR 4,575 for 4 persons, for 9 nights accommodation and the destination was Spain, Costa del Sol.”
